Yamaha 4-Stroke Compact

Suzuki 4-Stroke DF30

The DF30 features a 3-cylinder powerhead with a total displacement of 597cm3. You'll also find triple Mikuni carburettors with accelerator pumps, digital CDI ignition and the availability of power trim and tilt. A powerful integrated alternator delivers all the amps you need without a seperate belt driven unit. Try finding that on any other outboard in this class.

We call it stump pulling power. With an impressive displacement and a muscular gear ratio, the DF30 has ample low end torque to handle just about any job you and your boat demand. From hopping out of the hole in a hurry to scooting across the lake, these workhorses have what it takes. Features such as an oil-bathed timing chain, one piece forged crankshaft, stainless steel water pump housing and dual water intakes keep your Suzuki running tough for years and years.

The DF30 can go all day on very little fuel. Four-stroke efficiency enhanced by digital ignition for instant starts plus triple carbs for instant throttle response, help save a bundle on fuel costs.

Suzuki 4-Stroke V-Twin DF25

The DF25 is the first Suzuki four-stroke to utilise a V-Twin design. Two cylinders, each displacing 269cm3 (538cm3 total displacement), with 2 overhead valves per cylinder produce maximum power output at 5,000rpm. Operation is smooth with little vibration thanks to a 70 degree V-angle, which also contributes to the outboard's compact size. This layout also places the outboard's center of gravity further forward providing good balance on the transom and making the engine easier to tilt a welcome advantage when tilting the engine by hand.

The DF25 fully complies with 2006 USA EPA and forthcoming EURO 1 Emissions standards (EU Directive 2003/44/EC). It also delivers fuel economy far superior to any comparable two-stroke.

The new V-Twin DF25 is loaded with features that make operation user friendly. A new digital capacitor discharge ignition (CDI) system provides optimal ignition timing and delivers a hotter spark making recoil starting easier and more reliable. The shift lever is located in front of the engine so there's no need to reach around the side of the outboard to shift. Steering tension is set with a simple adjustment lever and the outboard's lightweight design and sturdy carrying handle make it easy to carry.

Checking and changing the oil is a breeze since both the oil dipstick and filter are accessible without having to remove the side covers. The DF25 also features a water separator that's built into the outboard - not bolted to the boat - to keep water that might get into the fuel system out of the carburettor. Should you ever need to get to the engine's components, two-piece side covers come apart fro easy access.
